25 THINGS I’VE LEARNED SINCE TURNING 25

ONE

Adulting is hard…

TWO

But not nearly as hard as everyone goes on about

THREE

Being 25 does not mean I now have my life together

FOUR

Which is okay – figuring it out is part of the fun

FIVE

Wine and frozen pizza IS an acceptable Friday night meal

SIX

Your fridge should be full of food to make real “adult” meals

SEVEN

But still have lots of  wine and beer

EIGHT

Nights in are more enjoyable than a night on the town

NINE

But a night out dancing with the girls from time to time is a must

TEN

Hangovers are much worse when you are 25 than when you are 19.. or even 23

ELEVEN

Being 25 doesn’t mean you have to be engaged or have kids

TWELVE

but if you do that’s great too

THIRTEEN

Being 25 and single (or in a relationship but not engaged) doesn’t mean you have to hate on everyone on your Facebook who is – be happy for others – I promise you its way more fulfilling

FOURTEEN

Seeing babies is a love hate thing – they are so cute – but so loud – so cute but so much responsibility – but so cute and my ovaries are freaking out

FIFTEEN

We are now at a time in our lives where everyone is heading in different directions and entering different phases of their lives – embrace it. This makes for more interesting conversation with friends and family

SIXTEEN

We all feel the same – no one feels like they have their life together yet – even if it looks like someone has it better off than you – they are still figuring it all out

SEVENTEEN

25 is officially an age where teens start to be a mystery – it is impossible to keep up on all the latest slang

EIGHTEEN

Appearance is actually important – just not in the way you thought it did when you were younger

NINETEEN

There isn’t ONE look that everyone should have – you need to find the one that works for you

TWENTY

Embrace your flaws and work on yourself to improve what you don’t love

TWENTY-ONE

All this talk of food reminds me – your metabolism is not what it used to be

TWENTY-TWO

Friend groups get smaller but friendships get stronger

TWENTY-THREE

Family is the most important thing – they are always there

TWENTY-FOUR

No matter how old I get I will always need my Mama

TWENTY-FIVE

Only FIVE more years until 30… bring on the good times!
