haute-chocolate-styled-stock-photography-pink-mint-marble-final-2Let’s face it, “adulting” is not easy. As adults, we have bills, responsibilities and the constant pressure to be successful.  The problem with determining whether or not we are successful adults is that there are multiple definitions floating around of what success means. Most of these definitions involve things like careers, money, marriage, kids, houses, etc. Now, are these all parts of life that are a success? Of course! These are definitely parts of life to be proud of, but let’s take a minute to appreciate that they are not the only way to become a successful adult.

First, ask yourself the following questions:

Are you living and breathing?

If this answer to this is yes, then you are currently a successful adult. It may not seem like a big accomplishment to you, but the truth is that it is.

Are you living each day to the fullest?

Now, this doesn’t mean that you are necessarily going on adventures every day. Some days living to the fullest is getting up, going to work, coming home and watching Netflix. Other days it is a day trip somewhere you have ever been to. The point is to live each day to fullest that you can that day regardless of what it entails.

Are you happy?

Again, you don’t have to jump for joy every minute of every day. The idea is to be as happy as you can, as often as you can.

Are you able to embrace the bad days?

You are going to have bad days, that is life and there is no way to avoid it. What makes you successful is realizing that bad days are a part of life and moving on from them.

Have you learned from your mistakes?

As we are growing up and figuring out our lives, we are going to make mistakes. To be honest, we have to make mistakes or else how will we learn and grow?

Are you still making mistakes?

Good, this means you are still growing and learning – the idea is to not continue to make the same mistakes over and over.

Now, follow this step by step guide:

Well, there you go, I bet you feel a lot better about yourself don’t ya?
