It is difficult to fully reflect on the year and what you want to do in the new year right in time for January 1st. No one is ever in the full mind space for that! We are still on holiday high and exhausted from all of our fabulous festivities, and now we have to jump back to school or work, putting our minds all over the place.
Now that January is almost over, and I have a clearer view of what 2018 is going to be like, I want to reflect on 2017 and what changes I want to make for the 2018 year.
As the new year was approaching, I was reading posts everywhere about how awful 2017 was. Now, as you know, complaining and being negative isn’t what this blog is all about, but what I can say is there is definitely room for improvement in 2018.
For myself, 2017 was a year of ups and downs that led me to make some pretty big life choices. It was also a year where I discovered I have not been living the life I want to live or being the person I want to be. With this in mind, 2018 is going to be a journey year, the year for me to find out who I am.
I could easily give you a list of all of my resolutions and plans for a better 2018, but at the end of the day, a better 2018 is going to be simply living my best self each day and taking the experiences thrown at me for what they are – learning opportunities.
What are you most looking forward to this year? Let me know!
